Ibrahim Qaraguzlu to Ma‘sumah Nizam Mafi
Ibrahim Qaraguzlu writes affectionately to his wife, Ma‘sumah Nizam Mafi, telling her how he misses her and wishes she had not left him so early, mentions his illness and a surgery that needs to be performed, discusses some future plans, reports on his business, and expresses his desire to go hunting. The accompanying envelope is addressed to: Ma‘sumah Nizam Mafi, the household of Nizam al-Saltanah.

The author [possibly Zahra Sultan ‘Izzat al-Saltanah] conveys family news: Mahmud Khan and Ma‘sumah Khanum both have a cold and Aqa [Nizam al-Saltanah] is preparing for his trip to Kirman. She talks about Salar Muhtasham's telegrams from Tabriz and the unrest there. ‘Izzat al-Saltanah describes the renovations in the Baha’ al-Mulk's garden. On the opposite page there is a note in a different handwriting about choosing a place, probably for vacation.
